GSX Analyzer Website Loads a Blank Blue Page

When launching the GSX Analyzer website, only a blank blue page is loaded with no error messages.

This article shows how to check basic GSX Analyzer requirements and modify Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager settings to properly load GSX Analyzer.

GSX Analyzer 10.3.3+ | Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager 7+

  • Blank Blue GSX Analyzer website.

 How to Solve the Issue

Checking basic GSX Analyzer requirements:

  1. Validate that all required GSX Analyzer features are installed.
  2. Verify that Adobe Flash is installed and flash animation is loadable.
  3. Note the URL and verify you are launching the correct GSX Analyzer website.
  4. Restart IIS via an elevated command prompt.
  5. Relaunch your GSX Analyzer website.

If you are still faced with a blank blue page, continue to Modifying IIS Manager settings.

Modifying IIS Manager settings:

We have two IIS modification options available to correct the issue.

Either option will require a restart of the IIS Server.

  • Option 1 allows all unlisted file name extensions to load on the IIS server.
  • Option 2 is a manual process to add a specific file type needed for GSX Analyzer to load.

Option 1:

  1. Run inetmgr.exe to open the IIS Manager.
  2. On the left pane, expand the IIS Server.
  3. Expand Sites and click the AnalyzerWebSite entry to open its Features page.
  4. Double-click Request Filtering.
  5. Right-click in the Request Filtering page and select Edit Feature Settings.
  6. Click Allow unlisted file name extensions to enable it.
  7. Click OK.
  8. On the left pane, click the IIS Server.
  9. On the right pane, under Actions - Manage Server, click Restart.
  10. When the restart is complete, close IIS Manager.
  11. Relaunch your GSX Analyzer website.

Your GSX Analyzer website now loads correctly.

Option 2:

  1. Run inetmgr.exe to open the IIS Manager.
  2. On the left pane click the IIS Server.
  3. Double-click MIME Types.
  4. Right-click in the MIME Types page and select Add MIME Type.
  5. In the File name extension box, type: .swz
  6. In the MIME type box, type: application/x-shockwave-flash
  7. Click OK.
  8. On the left pane, click the IIS Server.
  9. On the right pane, under Actions - Manage Server, click Restart.
  10. When the restart is complete, close IIS Manager.
  11. Relaunch your GSX Analyzer website.

Your GSX Analyzer website now loads correctly.
