Domino RAM used Statistic incorrectly reported

When viewing Domino server statistics in GSX Monitor, an incorrect value is observed for RAM used.

Follow this article to check RAM usage directly on the Domino server and restart it to correct its calculation of RAM usage.

IBM Domino All Versions

  • Very high and incorrect Domino RAM Used count in GSX Monitor.
  • Extremely high Mem.Allocated value reported on the Domino server with Show Stat command.

How to Solve the Issue

Checking the allocated memory value on the Domino servers

  1. Open the Domino server console.
  2. Enter the following command:
    • Show Stat
  3. Scroll to the value Mem.Allocated.
  4. Observe if this value is represented incorrectly, as our example represents a high scientific value of 1.8446744072E+19:

Restarting the Domino server

The following instructions will restart the Domino server.

  1. Connect to the Domino server that has incorrectly reported allocated memory values.
  2. Open the Domino console.
  3. Enter the following command:
    • Restart Server
  4. Repeat this process for each affected Domino server.

Upon the next Domino server scan in GSX Monitor, observe that RAM Used is now reporting correctly.
