To configure an Exchange Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) user experience scenario in GSX Gizmo, Redemption is required on the Robot machine. Redemption is necessary so that the Robot can communicate with the Outlook client.
This article will show you how to deploy Redemption on the Robot station.

Symptoms
- Redemption is not installed.
- Please double check the prerequisites.
How to Solve the Issue
Here we are going to locate the Redemption.dll files and install them on the Robot station:
- Navigate to the following path on the GSX Monitoring station:
- \Program Files (x86)\GSX Solutions\Monitor\support\Outlook
- \Program Files (x86)\GSX Solutions\Monitor\support\Outlook
- Copy the ProfMan.dll and Redemption.dll files to a new folder on the Robot station. For example, we use a new folder called Installers.
- On the Robot station, open a Windows Command Prompt as administrator.
- In the Command Prompt, change the directory to the path of the new folder containing the Redemption.dll files. For example:
- CD "C:\Installers"
- Type the following commands:
- Regsvr32 ProfMan.dll
- Regsvr32 Redemption.dll
- Regsvr32 ProfMan.dll
- If successful, you will see a message popup as shown below:
The redemption files are now successfully registered on the robot machine allowing the MAPI User Experience robot to scan successfully.
